Accountant II - Tax and Technical Accounting
Location: Atlanta GA 
Job Type: Full-time
Shift/ Schedule: [Day]/ 8:30am-5pm

SUMMARY: The Accountant II - Tax and Technical Accounting at Grady Health manages tax compliance and provides technical accounting expertise to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to regulatory standards. You will oversee tax filings, analyze financial data, and implement accounting policies to support Grady Health's financial operations effectively.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists with tax accounting and GAAP accounting.
  • Researches accounting issues/updates and provides timely responses.
  • Accurately and timely prepares tax returns and journal entries.
  • Performs ad-hoc tasks as assigned and is flexible to team needs.
  • Prepares analytical reports and reconciliations as needed for internal and auditing purposes.
  • Demonstrates accountability and commitment to team goals.
  • Speaks, communicates, and writes clearly.
  • Responds to customer-related requests in a proactive manner while displaying a sense of urgency.
  • Able to multitask and work within strict deadlines.
  • Provides continuous performance and process improvement in all assigned areas.
  • Consistently delivers a high level of customer service in all areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

    • BA - Accounting Major.
    • 3+ years of related job experience.
    • Healthcare experience preferred.
    • Must be proficient in the use of Excel, Access, and Word.
    • PeopleSoft experience preferred.
