Advanced Practice Provider,IDP
SUMMARY
The ambulatory advanced practice provider (APP) at IDP performs comprehensive history and physical assessments, orders/ conducts/interprets diagnostic laboratory testing/imaging, formulates diagnoses, and prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments in the management of acute and chronic medical problems in the ambulatory setting. Practices autonomously and in collaboration with other care team members to address and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, as well performing preventative health services and screenings. Primarily responsible for direct patient/family care, but may have opportunities to participate in quality improvement projects and program coordination/management and community/health system level advocacy to holistically care for complex patients.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Nurse OR
- Master's Degree as a Physician Assistant by the National Board of Medical Examiners, or the Academy of Physicians
- Current Georgia Authorization as an Advanced Practice Provider Registered Nurse of Physician Assistant required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Two or more years as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Preferred
