Job Summary:
As a Charge Nurse at the Flat Shoals Clinic, you’ll play a vital leadership role in directing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care during assigned shifts. Reporting to the Clinical Staff Manager, you will lead a team of nurses and ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care is delivered consistently.
In this role, you will delegate assignments, assess team performance, provide education, and manage patient flow—ensuring quality, customer service, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a confident, proactive leader ready to guide others in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct daily nursing operations and patient care delivery
Assign and adjust patient care assignments based on clinical needs
Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, supporting professional growth
Monitor care delivery and patient outcomes to ensure quality and satisfaction
Communicate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
Assist with onboarding, training, and staff performance evaluations
Respond to emergencies and institute procedures when necessary
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia – Required
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association – Required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required within 90 days of hire (if applicable based on assigned area)
Experience Requirements:
ASN with 4+ years of direct patient care RN experience including in a charge role
BSN with 2+ years of direct patient care RN experience including in a charge role (preferred)
