JOB SUMMARY:
 
The Executive Director Revenue Cycle oversees the organization's Patient Financial Services, Emergency Medical Services and Professional Fee billing departments, Crestview skilled nursing home and Camp Creek Primary and Specialty care clinic billing.  This position will also serve as the liaison between Grady and the Morehouse and Emory billing departments.  The position is accountable for optimizing the quality and efficiency of all Accounts Receivable and claims processes, for these areas, including: billing, collections, remittance posting, denials management, and customer service.  This position will formulate and operationalize a strategic vision aligned to the goals and objectives of the organization, and create a culture of compliance, ethics, integrity, and accountability.  The Executive Director is responsible for ensuring the department possesses relevant knowledge of evolving state and federal regulatory requirements and accreditation standards and maintains compliance with said requirements.  This position oversees and directs all daily activities in support of the department’s goals and objectives.  Position can be expected to generate and present, to employees, peers and senior leadership analysis and recommendations to enhance organizational effectiveness.
 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field is preferred.
  • Nine (9) or more years of progressive financial experience including six (6) years of management experience in patient financial services in an acute care hospital is required.
    • Experience must include significant role in project redesign and/or management experience working in a highly automated environment.
    • Experience with facility and pro-bee billing.
    • Proven leadership experience in a collaborative environment which results in driving positive, measurable, operational results.
  • Department oversight of 80+ FTEs is preferred.
  • Experience in a complex and changing academic medical environment is preferred.
  • Previous experience with an electronic medical record, EPIC and ePrism is preferred.
