Fire Systems Technician
SUMMARY:
The Fire Systems Technician maintains, repairs, and tests fire alarms, fire suppression, and support systems. Responsibility includes ensuring fire systems meet standards dictated by the State and Local Fire Marshals, the Joint Commission, and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience in healthcare preferred.
- The ability to operate tools and equipment with a skill level that is typically acquired through trade / vocational schools.
- Level I Certification by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) in Fire Alarm Systems and/or Inspection & Testing of Water-Based Systems.
