Health Equity Access Coordinator (HEAC)- TELP is a position that is instrumental in ensuring the successful implementation of Grady Health System’s Teen Experience and Leadership Program (TELP).  TELP is a seven-week summer program that provides teens exposure and experiences with various health occupations. The HEAC is responsible for effectively engaging with teen participants during the program through active supervision, mentorship, and rotation assignment support. Tasks include but are not limited to scheduling assistance, information gathering, and follow-up for program participants. The HEACs will also be involved in projects and duties that improve participants' overall summer experience. HEACs are required to be onsite during scheduled shifts between the hours of 7:30 am and 6:30 pm.

Essential Position Responsibilities

·       Provide daily onsite support to ensure participants complete assigned rotations

·       Assists in maintaining accurate program participant records

·       Establish a relationship with an assigned participant cohort and communicate consistently with them.

·       Document and track daily attendance in program database

·       Coordinate weekly workshops with internal and external stakeholders

·       Establish a professional working relationship with site coordinators at Grady

·       May require some participation in community events

·       Support execution of program events, including evening and weekends

·       Other duties as assigned

Education 

·       High School Diploma

Qualifications

·       Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel

·       Effective communicator and strong work ethic

·       Ability to work a minimum of 5 shifts per week and two weekends a month
