Infection Preventionist - Infection Prev & Control - FTE - Days
SUMMARY
The Infection Preventionist is a Registered Nurse who demonstrates technical skills and theoretical knowledge, as it relates to the identification and control of hospital acquired infections. This knowledge will be applied to healthcare workers, patients, and visitors in the Grady Health System.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree of Nursing (BSN).
- Registered Nurse with current Georgia nursing License is required.
- Minimum five (5) years clinical experience in Nursing and demonstrated leadership ability is required.
- Experience in infection prevention and control is strongly preferred.
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire within job as an Infection Preventionist.
- Must demonstrate the ability to function with all professional disciplines in an appropriate and effective manner.
