SUMMARY:
The Clinic Lay Navigators are individuals who advocate for newly diagnosed cancer patients of the Grady Health System. The primary purpose of the Clinic Lay Navigator is to successfully guide patients through the health care system. The Clinic Lay Navigators provide peer-to-peer support, assist with locating resources and social services that new patients may need, and encourage adherence and compliance to treatment regimens.
Job Qualifications:
•High School Diploma or GED.
•Associate's Degree or higher in Health, Social Services, or a related field preferred.
•One (1) year or more years of exposure to a healthcare environment.
•Experience in an oncology or cancer healthcare environment preferred.
