SUMMARY
As the discipline specifically trained in medication use and medication use systems, Pharmacists are responsible to the patient for ensuring medication orders are safe and appropriate; that drugs are stored, prepared and delivered to patient care areas according to generally accepted professional standards; and collaborating with nurses, physicians, and other staff to ensure safe and effective administration and monitoring of medications. Pharmacists are also responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant state and federal laws and regulations,
The Joint Commission medication management standards, and Grady Health System (GHS) policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Licensure or license eligible (must obtain within 120 days of employment) in the state of Georgia
· Doctor of Pharmacy and previous institutional pharmacy experience preferred
· Completion of PGY1 residency preferred
