SUMMARY
The Paramedic Lead, reporting to the District Manager, provides emergency medical care in the pre-hospital environment in accordance with established medical protocols. Ensures the readiness of assigned emergency vehicles, equipment and shift personnel. Provides safe and effective care and transportation of patients. Coordinates with Fleet Services and Deployment to ensure the accurate asset allocation and inventory availability. Assumes field and/or shift command for decision making in the absence of the District Manager. Collaborates with training and education for assigned new hires and academy interns. Performs as a leader among peers as a role model for current and new staff members, providing open communication and enhancing engagement throughout the assigned shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School or GED
Two (2) years in the field as an Emergency Medical Technician Advance or higher with least one of those years as an Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (RMT-P).
Two years as an Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (EMT-P) in 911 systems preferred.
NREMT – P and/or GA Paramedic License.
Current AHA, CPR and ACLS/BLS Certification.
Current Driver’s License required and acceptable motor vehicle record.
