Position Overview
The Mobile Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for creating a positive patient experience through exceptional customer service, maintaining a neat and clean area for the patient, and updating the patients on appointment wait times.
What You'll Do:
· Work with your team (Nurse Practitioner/Paramedic/Manager) to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow, safety, and clinical operation. Participate in department safety huddles.
· Assist clinical care team members as needed. Maintain and stock supplies, equipment, and sterilize instruments.
· Perform customer service tasks such as greeting patients in a professional and friendly manner, answering phones, etc. Verify patient demographics and third-party payers' information.
· Perform patient intake and registration.
· Monitor clinic schedule and ensure encounters are closed at the end of the day.
· Timely communication with management on any issues or errors when necessary.
· Problem solve obstacles throughout the process and notify the Manager of Mobile Screening Services of wait times. Provides administrative support and ensures efficient office operations.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred.
· Minimum 2 years job related experience with scheduling, insurance verification and billing.
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a healthcare or community resource setting.
· Experience with EMR and computerized charting, preferably in Epic EMR
· American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred.
