SUMMARY
The Pharmacy Automation Specialist is responsible for managing and supporting pharmacy automation systems to ensure that they are functioning optimally and meeting patient care needs. Serves as front-line resource to proactively address medication stocking adjustments and clinical staff needs as it relates to Automated Dispensing Cabinets. Facilitates communication, coordination, and resolution of issues with vendors and pharmacy/nursing staff. Facilitates ongoing upgrades and optimizations to automation systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
The Pharmacy Automation Specialist reports to the Manager of Pharmacy Systems & Operations. This is a full-time, onsite role with a remote component for on-call instances.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED
Three or more years of job-related experience, including inpatient pharmacy technician experience.
Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia
Certification by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
