Physician – Campcreek Comprehensive Care Center


Camp Creek Comprehensive Care Center is Grady Health System’s first new site development with multi-specialty service offerings.  The vision for this health center is to provide ready access to high quality patient-centered care in the Camp Creek community.  Grady Camp Creek will include primary care, convenience care (with extended hours), gynecology, pediatrics, cardiology, vascular surgery, gastroenterology, and sports medicine/orthopedics.  The facility also contains an advanced imaging center, pharmacy, and endoscopy suite.  Specialty services will be staffed by our medical school partners: Emory School of Medicine and Morehouse College of Medicine.   We are seeking dynamic, patient-centered physicians and nurse practitioners to provide primary care as well as convenience care. 


Physician works closely and collaboratively with the Medical Director and Practice Manager of department to ensure that all patients served at Grady Camp Creek receive  high quality, accessible care in accordance with the mission and vision of the Grady Health System. Physician should exhibit strong communication skills. 


The role of the Grady primary care physician is to ensure high quality, safe, timely, patient centered, team based patient care in accordance with the mission and vision of Grady Health System.

Job Responsibilities
  • Reports to on-site Primary Care Medical Director
  • Supervision of the Advanced Nurse Practitioners.
  • Ensures provision of safe, high quality, proactive, comprehensive, culturally-competent medical care of patient panel
  • Assumes responsibility for maintaining and enhancing competency in clinical knowledge
  • Works with Medical Director, Practice Administrator (PA) and Nurse Supervisor (NS) to improve processes and procedures
  • Provides timely and effective responses to patient complaints
  • Utilizes evidence-based decision-making process to diagnose and treat patients
  • Serves as individual care team leader, participating in morning huddles and afternoon de-briefs
  • Works with care coordination team to provide proactive management of patient panel
  • Practices AIDET and takes personal responsibility for patient engagement
  • Identifies clinical issues for quality improvement/process improvement
  • Participates in education of medical students, nursing students, allied health students, residents if appropriate
  • Timely arrival to clinic prior to first scheduled appointment
  • Timely and active monitoring of inbasket messages
  • Timely completion of charts and forms
  • Maintains active privileges on Grady Health System Medical Staff and timely completion of required administrative paperwork
  • Attends monthly department and clinic meetings.  Attends mandatory division meetings.
  • Other job duties as assigned
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO) is required

  • Licensed by the State of Georgia without restriction to practice medicine
  • Board certified in a Primary Care specialty of internal medicine, pediatrics, family medicine or preventive medicine.
  • Exhibits a clear interest in the financial aspects of outpatient medical practice
  • Physical requirements are moderate with sustained sitting, standing, or walking
  • Requires close, distance vision, hearing, talking and manual dexterity
  • The work environment involves occasional exposure to risk electrical shock and fumes or airborne particles; and regular exposure to blood-borne pathogens and infectious disease
  • The noise level is generally moderate
  • Required safety equipment for this position may include gloves, gowns, masks, safety eyeglasses, and goggles with shields
  • Preferred: At least 2 years’ experience as a primary care physician

  • Preferred: Board Certified Geriatrician
