Plumber

Location: Atlanta, GA

Job Type: Full-time

Shift/Schedule: Variable (day, evening, night, and weekend shifts)

The Plumber performs preventative maintenance inspections; plans jobs; obtains materials; maintains, repairs, and installs commercial hospital plumbing systems, specialty systems, and other related fixtures. Responds to emergency plumbing calls. Ensures all plumbing work meets all applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety standards.
  • Plan and execute plumbing jobs, including obtaining necessary materials and coordinating with other team members as required.
  • Maintain, repair, and install a variety of plumbing systems and fixtures in a commercial hospital setting.
  • Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls to minimize downtime and ensure a safe environment.
  • Diagnose plumbing issues, determine the best course of action, and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and standards.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and reports on repairs and installations.
  • Communicate effectively with hospital staff and management to inform them of plumbing issues and the status of ongoing work.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Must be an apprentice level plumber.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Operation of tools or equipment with a skill level typically acquired through trade or vocational school training.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects as required.
