Procurement Specialist
SUMMARY
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for leading and procuring a wide range of supplies, equipment, materials and services in a service oriented, yet authoritative and professional manner; consistent with group purchasing and other contracts, cost containment goals, and continuous quality improvements. Daily transactions include order entry, placement, confirmation and expediting; EDI, GHX transactions and accounts payable interface for invoice resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS
� Bachelor�s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering with one-year procurement experience or Associate�s degree with 3 years of experience in procurement
� Knowledge of requisition policies and procedures
� Must be computer literate and have knowledge of computerized spreadsheets, word processing, and data base management
