Vehicle Mechanic

SUMMARY 

Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on all vehicles in accordance with the Grady Health System Policies & Procedures and the EMS operations manual to ensure the readiness of all assigned emergency and non-emergency vehicles  through the application of industry standards.


QUALIFICATIONS 

• High School Diploma or equivalent required and experience to job field is required
• Two (2) years of heavy/medium vehicle mechanic experience in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining automobiles, vans, SUVs, and trucks.

• EVT certification required within 12 months of hire date however, all vehicle certifications are a plus. All current employees must maintain EVT certification throughout employment.  

• Two (2) years of Light /Medium vehicle mechanic experience in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining all major models and brands.

• Valid Driver's License is with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record is required.  Must maintain acceptable MVR per department policy throughout employment.
