JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounts Receivables (A/R) Representative assists in review and resolution of hospital claims under general supervision of the Patient Financial Services Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING:
Reports to Executive Director Managed Care and Payer Strategy.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Associates degree in Business or Accounting is preferred.
- At least two (2) years of experience in private pay collections along with solid knowledge of rules and regulations relating to Fair Credit and Collections is required.
- Knowledge of Medicaid and Insurance reimbursement systems, including billing forms is required.
- Managing Resident Trust Accounts is required.
- Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility Accounts Receivable billing experience.
- Advanced knowledge of and skill in using computers and related software for word processing (such as Word), spreadsheet (such as Excel) and accounting and billing software is required.
- Knowledge of regulations affecting Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) business offices is required.
