Description

The Program Manager organizes and coordinates interdisciplinary projects and process improvement activities to enable Grady Health System and Supply Chain Division to achieve its overall strategy, goals and objectives. Utilizes project management and process improvement tools and industry-leading standards to train and educate leaders/managers. Will use a Health System approach to lead project teams in implementing best practices, systems and processes to improve operational effectiveness. This position will coordinate business operations, fiscal affairs of the division, and support of personnel. The Program Manager will support and work directly with the Director of Value Analysis and the Vice President of Supply Chain. This role also requires flexibility, skilled at multitasking, attention to detail, and must be able to work independently to problem solve in real time. Individual will lead according to Grady Health System Values: Be Patient Centered, Be Safe, Serve Others with Excellence, Do Right, Do Good.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads interdisciplinary projects and teams with effective communication strategies to address process improvements opportunities and to implement mission-critical, cross-functional projects.
  • Facilitates problem solving, decision making, and action planning meetings.
  • Assists in the management and implementation of a strategic initiative portfolio, manage scorecards to validate sustainability of results and prepares/deliver presentations to executives, stakeholders, and support resources, as necessary on behalf of Supply Chain Leadership
  • Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency in the use of Project Management principles, methodologies, and tools along with industry-leading standards for program, project, and process management.
  • Assist in the development and formulation of the annual budget, prepares budgetary documents and reports, oversees the budgetary data for projects/programs.
  • Develops strategies to achieve program objectives and goals, assists in the efficient operation of the program, setting priorities for management, budget, and fiscal activities.
  • Conducts monthly reviews to ensure accountability of programs/projects along with timely reporting of deliverables.

Education

Required: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university

Preferred: Master’s degree

Experience

Required: At least 3 years of experience in managing projects and/or process improvement initiatives

Preferred: 5-7 years of experience in managing projects and/or process improvement initiatives

Skills/Cert/Licenses:

Required: Must be proficient in the use of project/program management principles, methodologies, and tools along with industry-leading processes improvement standards. Knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, project management, and database management tools.

Preferred: Project Management Certification, Lean Six Sigma Certification, Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) Certification
