Phlebotomist - PRN - Weekends - Night Shift
SUMMARY
Performs phlebotomy functions including venipuncture and micro-collection ensuring quality and timeliness of collection, processing and distribution of specimens and input of required information into LIS. Performs Point of Care tests as defined by the department, and acts as Sr. Phlebotomist when circumstances require.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of an accredited phlebotomy training program (preferred)
- Certification by a recognized certifying agency preferred
- At least one year of hospital based experience( preferred)
- Certification by a recognized certifying agency is required within first 18-months of employment (required)
